I Didn't Expect To Learn So Much
I spent a long weekend at the Azure Harvest Festival. It was a fun trip. The Stelzer family’s orchard and farm were such a treat to visit. I’ve been to plenty of homesteading and ag events, but this one had a different feel. Something about being on their farm made it all the more special.
I sat in on a lot of talks. The speakers knew their stuff. They were well-spoken and had solid info to share. But if I’m being honest, nothing really felt new. That surprised me.
Then I realized why.
It’s because of the women I meet with every month at my Chapter Gatherings. Just by showing up, I’ve learned so much over the years. And not just the beginner stuff. These women have experience. They’ve tried the things. Made the mistakes. Figured out what works. And they’re always willing to share.
That kind of learning sticks with you.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll go to the festival again. I enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great time. But when it comes to deepening what I know, the best stuff still comes from right here. My community. My friends.
So if you’ve been unsure about showing up to a Gathering or starting a Chapter, do it! You’ll meet women who’ve been where you are. You’ll learn something new. And you just might look around and realize, “I know more than I thought.”
