Thank you for using NLHG.org (hereinafter “we” or “us”). We know that you care how your personal information is treated and your privacy is our priority. We aim to be as transparent as possible about the ways we use the personal information you provide us.  Our Terms of Use apply to your access to, and use of, all or part of any website or mobile application of National Ladies Homestead Gathering ("NLHG"), including www.nlhg.org NLHG.app.neoncrm.com, or Community.NLHG.org and any other site, mobile application or online service where these Terms are posted (collectively, the “Sites”). We created this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”), which focuses on how we collect and use personal information about you.


In the event there is any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and any other terms of use that appear on the Sites, these Terms will govern. However, if you navigate away from the Sites to a third-party site, you may be subject to alternative terms and conditions of use, as may be specified on such site, which will govern your use of that site.


While we make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and timely information about NLHG on the Sites, you should not assume that the information is always up to date or that the Sites contain all the relevant information available.

1. Personal Information

Personal information is any information relating to you that can be used to identify you, and we are the data controller for such processing. When you use our Sites, we collect and use such information. That happens when you:

1.2.2 shop to support
1.2.3 create a fundraiser,
1.2.4 register as a business supporter (cause marketing),
1.2.5 contact us via our online form, e-mail or phone, or
1.2.6 subscribe to our newsletter.

1.2 Processing Personal Information

We process your information in various ways and for different purposes. Below you can read more about how your personal information is processed.

1.2.1 Donations

Purpose


When you donate money to us, either directly, through our in-house payment processor, or through a third party vendor – we collect and process your personal information with the purpose of processing your donation(s), contact you regarding any questions related to your donation, and in order to thank you for your donation(s). When you use a third-party vendor the use of your information is based on their terms of service and policies, so we encourage you to review those policies carefully.


Legal basis for processing


We will collect your name, e-mail address, phone number (optional), billing address including country and the donation amount. We also collect, but do not retain, credit card numbers which are processed by Neon Pay. Neon Pay is subject to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards and your credit card information entered is encrypted for your security.


Disclosure


If you donate to a fundraiser, we will share your name, date, and amount of your donation with the person who created the fundraiser unless you elect to be anonymous.


Period of storage


We will retain your personal information for as long as needed in order to comply with our contractual, legal or regulatory obligations. When we no longer need your personal information, we will either remove it from our systems or anonymize it so that you cannot be identified.

1.2.1.1 Donations in Honor of Someone

In addition to 1.2.1, when you make a donation in honor of someone, we collect and process the honoree’s name and e-mail address. You may also create a message to the honoree, which we do not use in any way.

1.2.2 Creating a Fundraiser

Purpose


When you create a fundraising page for a project on our Sites, we collect and process the personal information you provide us with when setting up your account with the purpose of creating your account and administer and support your fundraising.

If you cancel during any way of signing up, we cannot start creating your fundraising page and will not store the personal information you entered.


Legal basis for processing


The legal basis on which we process your personal information is that it is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us, so we can perform the certain functions you request when setting up your account and support you in your fundraising.


Types of personal information


We will collect your account info such as name, username and e-mail address and your posts on your fundraiser page. Remember that anything you post on your fundraiser page will be seen by visitors at our Sites.


Period of storage


We will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as long as needed in order to comply with our contractual, legal or regulatory obligations. When we no longer need your personal information, we will either remove it from our systems or anonymize it so that you cannot be identified.

1.2.5 Contact Us via Our Sites or E-mail

Purpose


When you contact us via our contact form on our Sites or via e-mail, we collect and process personal information with the purpose of returning your contact.


Legal basis for processing


The legal basis on which we process your personal information is our legitimate interest. Our legitimate interest is considered under the fact that you have submitted the information yourself in order to be contacted, and that the processing does not infringe the fundamental rights and freedoms.


Types of personal information


We will collect name, e-mail address and other personal information, that you provide us with.


Period of storage


We will retain your personal information no longer than 12 months after the latest processing unless the information is required with regards to the processing activities as described in 1.2.1–1.2.2.

1.2.3 Subscribe to Our Newsletter

Purpose


When you sign up for our newsletter, we will collect and process personal information with the purpose of providing our newsletter.


Legal basis for processing


The legal basis for processing is your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by e-mailing us at admin@nlhg.org. Furthermore, you can unsubscribe by following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our newsletters..

We collect your name and e-mail address.


Period of storage


Your personal information is stored as long as you subscribe to our newsletter.


2. Storage

We keep your Personal Information only so long as we need it fulfill the purposes described in this policy. When we no longer need to use your personal information and there is no need for us to keep it to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, we will either remove it from our systems or anonymize it so that you cannot be identified.

3. Security

We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of any personal information that we collect. We have adopted reasonable, technical, administrative and physical security measures to help protect against unauthorized access, use or disclosure of the information we collect or store. Records containing personal information are accessible to only a limited number of relevant personnel. Personal information is deleted when no longer needed by us and is never shared with third parties.


Our database encrypts all communication and information using a Transport Layer Security and an Advanced Encryption Standard. These processes ensure that all data passed between the web server and browser, and all data stored in our systems, are secure and private. However, no security system is perfect, and due to the inherent nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that data, including personal information, is absolutely safe from intrusion or other unauthorized access by others. You are responsible for protecting your password(s) and maintaining the security of your devices.

4. Disclosure

Besides otherwise described in this Policy under section 1, we may disclose personal information that we collect or that you provide to trusted third-party services in order to process your donations, offer you the services in connection with setting up your account, communicate our newsletter, and complete financial transactions. This includes contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

Access to our systems by our team and, when appropriate, volunteers, is permission-based and access to personal information is restricted. But no data transmission or storage system is 100 percent secure from unauthorized access or use. If you have reason to believe that your personal nformation has been compromised while in our care, please immediately notify us at
admin@nlhg.org.

5. Minors

Our Sites are not designed for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on our Sites, do not make any donations, and don’t provide any information about yourself to us.


If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please email us at admin@nlhg.org.

6. Cookies and Other Technology

We may collect information about you when you visit our Sites, which your web browser automatically sends whenever you visit a website on the Internet ("Technical Information"). Technical Information is information that does not, by itself, identify a specific individual but which could be used to indirectly identify you. Our servers automatically record this information, which may include your IP address, browser type, browser language and other information about your web browser, type of device (including mobile device) used to access our website, and the date and time of your request. Gathering Technical Information helps us ensure our websites and other services work correctly and support our operational analytic efforts. We may collect information automatically through the following:


  • Cookies that can keep track of your interests and/or preferences and recognize you as a return visitor to the websites.
  • Clear GIFs sometimes called “web beacons,” which are small images placed on a web page or in an e-mail message. We use clear GIFs to monitor user behavior, deliver cookies, collect information, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness, and to tell if a recipient has opened and acted upon an e-mail;
  • Log Files which record website activity on our services and enable us to gather statistics about our users' browsing habits. We also make use of Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"), which uses cookies to analyze how visitors use our Sites. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States of America. Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of measuring your activity on this website, for compiling statistical reports on overall content interaction activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. You can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in, whereby an opt-out cookie is set, or by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser software.

We may occasionally update this Policy. When we do, we will also revise the effective date on the top of this Policy. We encourage you to periodically review this Policy to stay informed about how we are protecting the personal information we collect.

We believe you have the right to request information that we have collected from you, to correct information and to donor privacy.
